NEOFORTUNITY INC., a Delaware Charitable Nonstock Corporation recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is organized and operated exclusively for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes (26 CFR 1.501(c)(3)-1(a)). In this context, charitable includes the advancement of education or science. We conduct fundamental research to advance scientific knowledge in the public interest without specific immediate commercial objectives (26 CFR 1.501(c)(3)-1(d)(5)).
NEOFORTUNITY INC. focuses on basic research, defined as general research to gain comprehensive knowledge or understanding of subjects under study without specific applications in mind (8 CFR 214.2(h)(19)(iii)(C)). This research has no specific immediate commercial objectives, although it may be in fields of present or potential commercial interest. Our basic-research program is directed toward benefiting the public and advancing knowledge in the public interest.
As a scientific organization, we operate in the public interest by conducting fundamental research carried on for the purpose of aiding in the scientific education of college or university students (26 CFR 1.501(c)(3)-1(d)(5)(iii)(c)(1)). A fundamental activity of NEOFORTUNITY INC. is engaging in basic research as defined under federal immigration regulations (8 CFR 214.2(h)(19)(iii)(C)), while being primarily engaged in basic research under Department of Labor guidelines (20 CFR 656.40(e)(1)(iii)).
